Monroe doctrine was basically "you stay out of our yard, we'll stay out of yours..." statement towards europe.

We know the slogan "America First" - but now it's more than a slogan, it is America's new doctrine but foeign and domestic. He transformed into such with the following words:
"We will seek friendship and goodwill with the nations of the world, but we do so with the understanding that it is the right of all nations to put their own interests first.

We do not seek to impose our way of life on anyone, but rather to let it shine as an example"

- President Donald J. Trump 1/20/17

This should make both the right and the left happy. It hearkens back to the Monroe Doctrine where we "mind out own business in our own hemisphere". Unless it benefits America and doesn't infringe upon another sovereign states right to pursue it's own interests, we should not be involved.

I greatly look forward to seeing this doctrine govern our foreign and domestic policies going forward.
One of the CNN invitees was already upset about him not paying Tribute to Hillary.

Other one said he made America look petty and small.

I am not American, but it was inspirational and I dont know what else he should speak tat will impress his American critics/citizens.

Yes, it will.

Contrast that with what Obama said:

It will be your generation’s task to respond to this new world. The question we face, the question each of you will face, is not whether America will lead, but how we will lead -- not just to secure our peace and prosperity, but also extend peace and prosperity around the globe.

Trump is obviously taking the moral high road with less war and conflict.

so I guess he'll understand when China looks to put "their own interest's first" in trade agreements, since it's now the Trump doctrine to do so?

Correct. You don't spread peace and prosperity around the world by arming drones and dropping bombs on civilians. Obama has blood on his hands. He has spread misery, not prosperity. Shame on him for creating more hatred for America around the world.

Trump is advocating leading by example. Not forcing your doctrine on the unwilling via guns and bombs. Libs obviously favor an authoritarian, quick to shoot dictator, but they aren't going to get one in Trump.

For the first time in my life, it appears that Americans are going to get real, measurable change. Not lip service. Ironic that the left is so butt hurt, since Obama was elected on the promise of "hope and change". A big LOL is deserved for that mistake!
