I think he operates with a different set of rules than the rest of us and the business community. Anything that completes a winning deal is OK in his ethos. The people he has beaten believe he is an unindicted thief.
I am interested to see how he will apply his own rules to governing. I expect him to surprise almost everyone.
Yeah, he is corrupted by patriotism wanting the best for Americans and America. If more people were corrupted in that way we wouldn't have open borders and decades of war zone intercity anarchy.
