And in a profound way:
No matter WHAT Republicans have said in the past twenty years...no matter what the issue has been.......no matter how Republicans may have "played" something.........it was ALWAYS within the context of the narrative established by the left (including the media). The "box" which contained the discussion or the argument was always pre-ordained. Every game was played on the opposite team's home field.
So in that sense, it didn't really matter what the Republicans said or did.
Box pre-ordained.

No more. It's all upside down now. And I love it.

Just be careful for what you wish. Having a president who can't even get remotely close to the truth is not a good beginning for doing things "outside the box".

Our system of checks and balances will be challenged. But I have faith in our Constitution and that there still are decent people out there who will not allow our Democratic system to be destroyed by someone's erratic "outside the box" behavior.

Are you talking about how the democrats, including the president did just about everything they could to prevent the peaceful transfer of power?

All the Obama administration scandals, coverups of criminal conduct, and an SoS that committed espionage as a matter of routine.

The last 8 years tested the constitution, and it survived, a Trump presidency will not be a problem.

You may be overly optimistic.

We have a president who did not receive the majority of votes in the election, who is in violation of the Constitution, who says laws don't apply to him, who is working to suppress the free press, and who will install a cabinet of robber barons, many of them unqualified to lead the departments they are heading.

We have a Congress that ignored it's Constitutional duty to vet a nomination for SCOTUS. This may well continue.

Thanks go gerrymandering, purging voter roles, voter suppression, interference by Russians as well as the FBI in the last election... we are losing our democracy.

What checks and balances are going to stop it? The courts?

Someone speaks, who depends on the box.

If "everything that Trump says is a lie" is the only box that you have left, then you people are in a lot of trouble.

I'm calling you out.

What violations of the constitution?

What laws does Trump think don't apply to him?

How is Trump suppressing the press?

I will call you on repeating that nonsensical propaganda everytime you post it.

Your diatribe is like fifteen boys all crying wolf at once.

You guys can't even keep your emotions in check enough, at this point, to make arguments that don't, via their mere structure, hurt your credibility. The manner in which you continue to damage yourselves is pretty amusing.

Now amplify your type of complaint, above, by the core of the Left and its so called "free press" (stenographers for the Left). What do you think that the outcome of these hysterics will be? Here's a clue: nothing good for anyone, to include yourselves nor for the state of the country. A country that you are all of a sudden clutching your pearls over because you lost a democratic election whose core and undisputed rules you contest merely because you lost.

Here's a free tip: you losing an election and not getting your way, and your "free press" going out of its way in every election to demonize the competitor, does not constitute "losing your country". It merely constitutes losing.

If you didn't want to lose this election, perhaps you should have spoken up when WH, DOJ, and "free press" propaganda and extremism was busy assuring that Trump was going to win. You didn't, and so now you have what you truly and fully deserve. Politics have consequences.

And now we are into talking about specifics. Fine, let's talk specifics. But before we even do that, let's first ask:

On whose playing field is the discussion taking place??? Because THAT is the all-important point.....and the point of this thread. The issues have all been "framed" in advance, before anything even happens. And Republicans have said for years, "okay, we'll accept that framework".
(The left has worked assiduously to make sure that this whole question about the "framing" was never, ever asked or brought up..... Sorry! Those days are over.)
