Northeastern is a private university, but nice try.

Private universities get plenty of federal money.

Meh, weak attempt.

Even if you do or do not agree w/ the march, at least people are exercising their Constitutional rights, and that's what matters. I don't agree with the crowds that go around in malls and Starbucks open and carrying with shotguns plastered to their backs while pushing a baby stroller, but whatever, they're exercising their rights. If people don't exercise their Constitutional rights then we might as well be North Korea.

This time I unfortunately clicked and read the nauseous article. The spin on calling homemade signs a spirit of ingenuity was too much. Cannot believe I had a subscription to this rag. Their new editor is way too liberal. I'm sure the professors charged that Boston rental van to the college.

I thought they were also concerned about the environment?
Every large gathering ( marches, protests, celebrations, parades) of people leaves masses of garbage behind.

Why would this one be any different ?

some posters tried to justify the actions and garbage by comparing it to Mardi Grai or a sports championship celebration

The only difference is a high percentage of those celebrants were drunk.

"celebrating" and " protesting" are different and draw different types of crowds.

Looking at the mess after the women's march..............maybe not.

Plead drunkenness and move on.

It's a jobs program. If the marchers picked up after themselves, thousands on sanitation workers would be laid off.

They already had scheduled jobs.......this is considered EXTRA work load. How thoughtful of these women to consider this.

Exactly! Isn't it the city's job to clean up after such an event?

I'm amused by how much this march has gotten under the skin of its rabid detractors.
