The illegals hurt the poorest of the poor people in our country in a scale of 30-50 millions - our people literally die because they can't find jobs or can't pay for medical care.
It's no comparison to 80,000 a year term limited H1B.
I guess I missed that the numbero f illegals jumped to 50MM.....we should be fighting for an economy and an education system where our people are not fighting for jobs with people who come here and can't read/write/speak the language.....instead of destroying our economy to fight for jobs that someone in Vietnam or Bangladesh can do with no educations we could easily improve a large section of middle class employment prospects by stopping H1-B visas.

I'm working in IT myself, and about 90% of my coworkers (whether staff or consultants) are from India. I have nothing against them (hygiene aside, most of them are nice people) but I can tell you that they are replacing Americans all over the place. The 80k a year might be minuscule to you, but it is a serious problem.

Amen. It is a very serious problem for Americans in I.T. and STEM in general. We can't compete with people willing to work for crap wages living 4-6 to a 2-bedroom apartment.

Yup- these are good middle class to upper middle class jobs- the kind America is built upon...and they are under siege from corporate greed- the kind MR Trump seems to be looking to ramp up by cutting "75% of regulation" whatever that means.....as Trump likes to say- this one can be fixed- "it's so easy"!!

Then we should be tracking down and charging those who hire illegals and jailing them if convicted instead believing a wall will stop the illegals if there's jobs to be had.

I work in a major IT hub and I see them come 4 at a time in a shared leased Honda Civic all sharing a one/two bedroom apartment sending all their $$ back home to do a poor job for 60% of the pay of a US born worker.

I see it too, all the time. It's sickening, really. American jobs should go to American workers.
I am not very familiar with IT industry but are American IT graduates having hard time finding job? I am in STEM industry and I see foreigners all the time but majority of them are PhD holders from American university while majority of Americans hold Bachelors degree. The few that do hold PhD in my industry tend to move up in industry quiet fast.

Yes, you missed the number. Liberals keep telling us it's about 11 million but in reality, it's probably around 30-50 million.
