Try 46% of the state.

That's one of the highest of any state in the U.S.

No what's in California will remain in California-nukes are going to be a sticking point. Furthermore, Livermore is owned by the University of California. We have been at the forefront of nuclear research

We have some brilliant minds here. Are you suggesting the liberals here are going to suddenly start an arms race with the United States?
No I just find it laughable how people are so unaware of our capabilities.

No its not just congress.

It's 4/5 of the state legislatures, so 36 or more states must agree.

Then they could become a territory, lose their Senate and House seats and not get to vote for President - a win for the rest of the country!

Why let them secede? How about we just take their land and push them out? The ultimate trump card (no pun).

Agreed.

Tho it WON'T come to that IMHO cause many "lib" kinds of people hate guns and, would run if faced down.

That'd be a death wish for Mexico since that country's really looked down on here in the US. Mexico ain't that stupid IMHO.

California has brilliant engineers not only in the workforce but the engineering powerhouses of Stanford, Berkeley, Cal Tech, UCLA etc.

You think the 5th richest country on earth with the most brilliant minds on earth and the most athletic place on earth cant defend itself?

Ha.

Ha.

Ha.
What is the 5th richest country on earth vs the 1st? That's like the US vs Germany and we know how that turned out...twice.

Engineers that need safe spaces are not the kind of engineers who can design nukes. It takes real men to do that.

Will Silicon Valley actually supply troops?...lol

I'm just messing around, but seriously...nobody is afraid of California. You're not exactly what we'd call a "stable country" or "tough" or even "stable". Half California bashes California.

In a theoretical CA vs the world matchup I would rank USA #1...because its the greatest country on the face of the Earth.
#2 Independent Texas as #2 because they actually defeated the Mexicans in the Texas Revolution...Alamo style...no cheesy John Fremont's 26 day "republic" style.
#3 the mighty Mexican army whom you worship so much since they stomped the Californians in the Mexican American War until the rest of America came to bail them out.
