That is because "some" people refuse to put down the pipe and stop celebrating CA's "MJ for all" legalization long enough to clear their cannabis befuddled minds and realize it's a no-win waste of time situation for them...

Japan has been way ahead of the rest of the world with Robotics, for decades, and they're substituting immigrants with robots. They have robots to tend to their elderly, work the agricultural fields, sex robots in the bars, and now an all-robot hotel.

The President of South Korea, in 2006, touted the idea of a robot in every household in South Korea by the year 2020. Like Japan, and China, they'll increasingly lean on robots. No great need for human immigrants.

And we can only eat our hearts out with envy!

Interesting raw raw piece.

It's amazing how the secession movement in California grows everytime the president issues an executive order.

Opinion: California Threatens Retribution Against Bully Trump Over Immigration Order

And if you are so sure of your numbers, what is your source? I highly doubt it includes all of the Federal spending in CA. There are many potential aspects of spending but just show me where CA counts in its $.80 on the dollar all of the military and federal employee spending.

Just the other night I was listening to a talk show where an astrologer predicted a major earthquake for the Los Angeles area around the beginning of March.

Which made me wonder...what would happen to California in the wake of a major natural disaster if it secedes? Will it expect federal assistance?

Telling you something you know already, the California state government isn't in the loop on the money the Feds collect in taxes from California. The companies remit the corporate taxes they pay themselves, and, somewhat more importantly, the payroll withholding taxes they collect from their employees, directly to the federal government. There are strict laws, with very stiff penalties for the executives in business that don't do this. Anyone who tries to boycott this is very quickly going to end up in an orange jump suit in a federal holding jail. All the HR and accounting people in the country know this. The state can't protect them.

In point of fact, any state official who tried to prevent this flow of money will end up in an identical jumpsuit in the same jail, up to and including Moonbeam.

But the loons pushing this agenda all think good old Moonbeam,Feinstein and Pelosi will be able to protect them. What they don't get is the minute it looks like crap will hit the fan and arrest seems a real possibility at least 2 of the three will go into butt protection mode, point fingers at others and then hide under their desks.
I also predict that if federal funds are cut off you'll see a whole bunch of people marching on Sacramento looking to bag a Moonbeam and put his head on a pike. Can you imagine all the Universities like Stanford having all the fed money ripped away?
Research grants etc just go POOF!

Blah blah blah this is the same desperate response hoping to silence what the state is looking into.

And yes, the state could actually order employers to continue calculating and deducting federal taxes but remit those funds to a state trust that will be sent to DC at the governor's discretion.

The IRS website even explains how this done.
