This thread was started a few weeks after the inauguration, when even the sane Trump voters were hopeful that he would pivot to being presidential and have a desire to represent all Americans, not just his minority core base.

Two years of chaos later and those Independents and moderate Republicans who voted for him have long fled the Party of Trump. And 2020 looks even worse than 2018 for the GOP, especially if they don't start standing up to the demagogue in the White House.

These next two years will determine if there is anything left of the Republican Party, or if it truly is gone, replaced by the Trump Party.
