Yep, Instead of reading I have seen a lot of stuff.
Welfare fraud in America is HUGE not by immigrants but mostly by the lazy. Search youtube if you are also one of those lazies and don't want to step out and face the reality.

This executive action, though — according to the draft obtained by Vox, which seems consistent with the Post’s reporting — would ask the Department of Homeland Security to issue a rule saying that an immigrant can’t be admitted to the US if he’s likely to get any benefit “determined in any way on the basis of income, resources, or financial need.”
Vox assumes the public will be shocked and outraged by a sensible action like that?

You left out the last part:

Currently, the federal government looks at use of cash benefits (like Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) when it’s making “public charge” decisions, but not in-kind benefits like Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program. This executive action, though, would ask the Department of Homeland Security to issue a rule saying that an immigrant can’t be admitted to the US if he’s likely to get any benefit “determined in any way on the basis of income, resources, or financial need.” Furthermore, people who use any of those benefits and are in the US on visas would be subject to deportation.
That would mean any immigrant who has Obamacare through the exchange, and whose family premium is subsidised, would be subject to deportation.

This is all well and good, in theory.

Wait until Billy and Mary from the Heartland's kid takes all their grandchildren to the UK rather than allow his family to go through the ignominious process of deportation.

Merely your opinion.

We've seen the level of compassion and Christlike behavior from many Americans over the past few years. I'm not surprised they believe Trump is being sweet and fair.

Just so you know, that squiggly red line beneath the word means you've spelled it incorrectly. You can right click on it for the correct spelling.

However, I think this is going to backfire. You have lots and lots of US citizens married to green card holders. They have kids. They could be in the rust belt, have fallen on hard times (as were continually told) and Trump puts it out there that if the family has used CHIP, or some other kid focused benefits, and that the US is going to deport the mother or father because of it?

It's all fine and good not letting in the brown people, or throwing out the dreaded illegals. But start threatening to deport the wives of US citizens and it's going to blow up mightily.

It's going to make the temporary ban look like preschool.

And given this, if you think the ban is temporary, I'd wager you're wrong.

What's with the skin color/race card? Yes, illegals are dreaded so why the snarkiness? Do you think it's wonderful for them to be here sucking up jobs, taxes and resources from Americans and violating our immigration laws?

Speaking of welfare usage.

This isn't about illegals.

This is about legal residents. And the snarkiness is because all the people cheering on deportations and bans are going to change their tune once it's their family member/friend/coworker on the chopping block.

Some people don't give a crap when people from brown countries they can't pronounce or religions they don't like are booted out.

It will be a different story when they come for their loved ones.

President Donald Trump upended American immigration policy with three executive orders in his first week as president. He may not be done yet.

The Washington Post obtained two draft executive orders the Trump administration is reportedly considering, both of which (in title and content) resemble documents Vox wrote about and published last week.

Vox and the WaPo...you're going to have to do better than that, OP. How many more "unnamed sources" is the WaPo going to use to pass on their fake news?

Illegal aliens cannot by law use government service and aid.

Tourist on B visas cannot either

Work visa; same thing.

Greencard holders entitled to federal help? Not sure since they are only permanent residents and not citizens.

Citizens defined as:

- Person born in the USA/US Base overseas/Territory with at least one parent a US citizen
- Person naturalized as a citizen.
