It's almost poetic aint it? The cost of the ego-driven wall is much smaller than the massive layoffs and billions lost as Trump states stand to suffer the most in a trade war with Mexico.

This may be true but, trust me, Mexico has far more reason to fear a trade war than the USA does. Thus, even if they pretend to play hard ball initially, they'll come running back for a deal before long.

Until an actual trade deal is announced this is BS speculation at best.
Good luck convencing people losing their jobs to Mexico that Mexico is the best possible trade partner.

There is no trade war, everything that we export to Mexico comes right back here to be sold. Mexico is an unnecessary middleman that only cuts out the American workers.
