Democrats are saying they have nothing to worry about or change because Trump is guaranteed to be a bad president and probably get impeached

Are they right ? Is this a good tactic?

It's a terrible tactic and one that sets them up for yet another disappointment. Democrats will NOT have the numbers in Congress over the next 4-8 years to even remotely entertain "impeachment." It's a pipe dream being fed by the putrid depths of liberal ideology. Mainstream democrats would do themselves a huge favor by killing any notion of a forthcoming impeachment. It simply is not going to happen and moderate, blue state Democrats that just voted for Trump are watching closely at how stupid your Party gets the next 4 years.

The more "their" people throw tantrums like a bunch of babies the more people are defecting from the Dem party and the more Trump supporters agree that "the Don" was right all along.

If the media ever starts reporting the good that Trump is doing they might actually change some minds and knock people out of their brainwashed anti Trump drivel.

If there is a terrorist attack on American soil it will only bolster Trumps position of tightening security but of course the far left would blame him for inciting the terrorist to action.

Trump could have Americas economy cooking along in 4 years and we could all be living in a safer country and people wold still hate him.

I say just keep doing what you are doing Dems. How did it work out for you in November of 2016?

The only one who throws tantrums is Trump on Twitter. So I'm not sure why you are calling out democrats. And what good has Trump done. The media does report on what he says he has done. But you just can't believe what Trump says because he lies. And you know what, no matter what Obama did you would have still hated him, wouldn't you. So don't preach to people about Trump. I feel I live in a safe country already. I have always felt safe. My husband and son work next to the white house, which would be a terrorist dream, and they are not scared at all. Why are you so scared.

That's incorrect. There is quite a bit of pressure within the Democratic Party to become more progressive and populist, especially from young people. The old, corporate guard have failed and are a large reason they've lost so much of the country. They've lost touch with the working/middle class they used to represent, and do not give young people any reason to vote for them either (except "Republicans are worse").

With an amped up base and poached demographics that normally vote Democrat, Republicans had their WORST voter turnout in 3 presidential election cycles.

With an unmotivated base, Democrats still had 5M MORE voters turnout.

The Republican best case scenario barely beat the Democrats worst case scenario.

A lot of Republicans stayed home because of Trump also. If Democrats only focus on presidential elections, they'll continue to lose seats in the House and Senate. We need to get people excited and involved enough they want to vote every year.

In general. there is a drop off during midterms on both sides. Dems just drop off more than Republicans.

This is only your opinion. I think all of us have plenty to worry about right now, and there is no guarantee of anything at the moment. There is nothing tactical about that.

Only time will tell if Trump is a good or bad President. Even you must admit he has gotten off to a very uneven and rocky start, and it's obvious more trouble is coming his way. So far, he has brought all the troubles he's in on himself through his words and actions.

A lot of people thought he was unfit for the job, and those thoughts didn't just evaporate on inauguration day. Many have been justified by what he's done in just 4 weeks. But Democrats and Republicans still want the rule of law to prevail in the United States, and no one wants impeachment who went through the Nixon era or the Clinton impeachment. Both severely damaged our country, and left deep scars behind afterward.

If Trump is impeached, there will be grounds for it. If no grounds, there won't be an impeachment.

The Democrats are no different than the Republicans right now. Both are waiting to see what is going to happen next in the White House. No one can make tactical plans against a loose cannon that is bouncing all over the gun deck, striking anyone it touches.

Trump is a great national experiment. It's too soon to know if the experiment works as anticipated or not.
