The MSM wants you to think that the middle class is doing just fine, that everything is fair and square between the middle class and the 0.1%. Instead if trusting them go out into your community and see how many are working for crap wages, worried about health care, and trying to find a job. That's where the truth lies.
I've not heard the "MSM" argue this. I've seen (and continue to see very regularly) articles and discussions about the seriousness of income inequality in this country (perhaps the biggest issue facing our nation right now, in my opinion).
You're believing what you want to believe to validate whatever conclusions you've already made.
I first heard the term fake news during the presidential campaign. A prime example was the guy who went into the pizza parlor with a gun because he believed the obviously fake story that Hillary was running a child sex ring there. I also read about some people who were deliberately planting fake news stories on social media as a way to make money. Mostly they were right-wing stories, but I think they were motivated more by money than ideology.
Trump has now appropriated the term "fake news", and throws it at any reporter that criticizes him or disagrees with him. But that's just part of his childish name-calling habit. Media can be biased, they can have an agenda. That may be bad, but it's not fake news unless it is completely made up. The term has become way overused.
Press that is not biased in its reporting.
Press that verifies its stories.
Press that does not have an agenda.
Press that is neutral and interested in only delivering news and not making it.

And how do you know this about me? Maybe it's you that's believing what you want to believe about me to validate whatever conclusions you've already made about me?

Because I read what you posted...that the "MSM" isn't reporting on income inequality and the squeezing of the middle class. These have been major news stories for years!
You're either just not paying attention or are making things up in your head to validate the conclusion that you posted.

I keep hearing The Donald refer to the Mainstream Press as fake news. AP, NBC, Reuters, Fox, PBS, CNN, ABC, Bloomberg, et. al.
So what is NOT Fake Press?
Fox News Channel, Fox Business Channel, New York Post, Washington Times, Investors Business Daily, the American Spectator.
