The GOP faces a serious dilemma: Do they get behind their mentally fragile President, especially since they control both chambers of Congress and can get whatever legislation they want thru, or do they keep from supporting someone who is clearly unbalanced mentally?

The dilemma is if Trump completely goes off the rails and flames out, and is ultimately impeached, does the GOP want to be remembered as the party who supported this man, while Democrats oppose him and are remembered as such?

This is a turning point in American politics, and Republicans don't know which way to go right now. The smarter ones are rightfully stepping away from supporting someone like Trump, while the rest are paralyzed and don't know what to do. Even though Republicans control both chambers of Congress they dont want their legacy to be they were the party that supported Trump.

Democrats need to keep opposing this lunacy and let Republicans cannibalize themselves.

LOL. Trump has buried the Democrat party. They are irrelevant and powerless right now. They have no option but to sit back and watch. They don't even show up at the adult table.

Who you going to lead with over the next 4 years, Pulosi?

The House republicans will hang in there a lot longer than their senate counterparts. But ultimately, this whole thing goes down in flames, leaving a horrible scar on our country. Many misguided voters went with tRump not knowing the danger of the powers behind the throne. Now that they have gotten familiar with Bannon and Miller, they regret their votes.

If the GOP was honest, they would admit that they never wanted the likes of Donald Trump, but that they are not sure how to get rid of him. If they turn on him, without a lot of great reasons, they will offend the base that Trump has supporting him. If they do not turn on him, they risk losing all credibility for the future.

Tough situation. I think , behind closed doors, they have agreed to wait it out and let him keep screwing up himself. He is his own worst enemy, and if they have some patience, he will do himself in. Then it will make it easier to move in and oust him.

It is like having that bad employee that you want to fire. First you have to build a file, where you have written them up for various issues, and then you can legitimately fire them, because you gave them opportunities to improve. That is what is going on here, with Trump and the GOP.

I've found that, if you just have patience, things have a way of working themselves out.

Tax reform, healthcare reform, securing the border, bringing 3 trillion back from overseas along with high paying manufacturing jobs is not crazy policy no matter how bad you want it to be. I agree, the jury is still out on if Paul Ryan will be a man of his word on these issues but he says they will get done this year.
