I have no idea what point the OP was trying to make.
But, most people in this country believe that American universities are first and foremost bastions of liberal indoctrination rather than centers of education and critical thinking.
So, it only stands to reason that the more time you spend in these insitutions, the more liberal you will be by virtue of this indoctrination.
I mean, lets face it, you cannot believe by virtue of real education that you need safe spaces and protection from thought/speech that differs from your own. That belief can only come from some cult like indoctrination. And, yet this mind set is rampant in our institutes of higher learning.
Why do you have a problem with a person who has independent thought? Some of us realize the truth, otherwise Clinton would have won the election. More geographical area in the USA are conservative than liberal. I am sure you have read about the different behaviors when one lives in a more crowded atmosphere. The mean attitudes and wrong thinking of people in this country who live in closer spaces make me glad our forefathers were genius enough to plan a political system who lets the more sane people living in a healthier environment have a bigger voice.
We are watching such an uncivilized bunch of people who are mentally unbalanced to the degree that they cannot function unless they have everything the way they want it. We just waited out until we got someone in office who was better. Nobody went bonkers about it and took to the streets like people in third world countries.
Where there is room for a difference of opinion on a subjective topic...yes independent thought is valid.
However there is no room for independent thought here. Scientific statistical analysis > Subjective personal experience when it comes to determining correlations.
