Everyone who loses an election (or a series of them, as the left has) is upset, of course. Some grousing and complaining is inevitable, regardless of party. Then they get over it, and life goes on.

But the extraordinary screaming, whining, and unceasing hatred coming from the left after they got booted out of every majority in the government, is unprecedented. Their shock and dismay was palpable for weeks after the election. And even after more than three month, elected officials on the left are still crying about the absolute doom the country is facing - complaints clearly without ground or import. Yet it continues, with leftist-sponsored mobs rioting and destroying in various streets and campuses nationwide, incoherent "Not my President" demonstrations, nonsense accusations of foreign disruptions of election results etc., for months and months after the results were settled and confirmed.

There are two major reasons the liberals went bonkers when they realized they were losing the Nov. 2016 election in the Presidency and the Congress.

1.) One of them is loss of the opportunity to appoint judges to the Federal bench, including the Supreme Court. Since most of the leftist agenda violates the commands of the Constitution, they absolutely depend on appointing judges and justices who will overlook the Constitution and rule instead on whether the agenda feels like "the right thing" or whether it "ought" to succeed.

2.) The other reason concerned Obamacare and its various unconstitutional features. The leftists had designed it to fail, knowing full well that insurance companies could not provide policies that paid for pre-existing conditions, except by charging such high premiums that most people couldn't hope to afford them. And once enough insurance companies were forced to drop out, the left planned to put "single payer" (i.e. totally government-controlled health care) in its place once it failed. Obamacare was merely a step toward a complete govt takeover of our health care system.

But it was MANDATORY to have Democrats in position to shepherd the collapsing Obamacare and have a pure-govt health-system solution ready, to ease the country into a completely socialist system. Then they could spend the next 30-50 years saying, "Well, the health care system is run by these principles, maybe the banks should be too. And maybe private industries should be regulated this way too. And.... etc. etc."

Trump's election was not only a stunning shock to these people. It was also the major derailing of their plans for the next decade... and beyond.

No wonder the liberals are still screaming, crying, rioting, burning and destroying things. The Trump election - which brought into power someone who clearly understood what they were doing and had no qualms about pointing it out publicly - forced their wished-for socialist utopia into the train wreck they always dreaded.

Lol, I do not even think it is that, way too intellectual; they are reacting because for most, it is the "thing" to do.

Because that is what communists do. They riot and start revolutions.

I can shorten that lengthy question of yours down to two words that sum it up completely. DONALD TRUMP.

We don't care that we lost to the GOP, it is WHO we lost to that is our concern. Man has no business anywhere near the WH, both domestically and internationally.

That's the demonstrators and rioters.

What about the people sponsoring them?

I cannot speak for all leftists (and if you have even the slightest understanding of that word, you'd know that no one can or does), but I can tell you my "outrage" is more about how likely I feel we'll be living in a despotic empire in my life time. Possibly within a decade or two. The state of politics is not healthy, and while I don't blame Trump in the slightest, he is making things worse, as I see it.

Now, on to the questions. Explain what the difference is between a Democrat, a liberal, and a leftist.

To your two main reasons:
What are the 'commands' of the constitution and what is the disagreement between 'leftist' policy and the constitution?

To your point on Obamacare, I think there's some truth to it. I fully support a single payer system and to this day oppose Obamacare. So I'll ask a simple question: why is single payer bad?

I live in a state that has a Democrat in the governor's mansion, sent a Democrat back to Senate, and gave its electoral votes to Clinton, and I don't see what you describe. There's some grousing, as you mentioned, and the occasional sigh and eye-rolling whenever the latest ridiculousness from the West Wing hits the media, but mostly we've all gotten back to business. I do not see roving bands of enraged protesters anywhere.

To most Leftists, Liberalism is their religion and they believe it like a religious extremist that anyone that challenges the principles of the religion must be destroyed....Trump has attacked PC and the Liberal MSM stranglehold and must be destroyed. It's pretty comical to watch.

Skep, maybe we should be asking people to define Progressive and Democrat. There seems to be a lot of confusion about that, too.
