Yep. I see no problems here, nothing that would even suggest any conflict of interest.
Just draining the swamp, right?
Quote:
Washington (CNN)President Trump is expected to nominate the husband of White House counselor Kellyanne Conway, to run the Justice Department's civil division, two sources familiar with the matter confirmed to CNN.
If confirmed by the Senate, George Conway would lead an office that would handle legal challenges to major Trump administration initiatives, such as the controversial travel ban.
It's a political appointment requiring Senate confirmation. This is not a politically neutral position -- any president would want one of his own people defending legal challenges to his initiatives. So what's the issue here?
Alright! Keep 'em coming! We have a couple of pretty entertaining contributions already, but I'm sure we'll get more.
C'mon, Trumpheads, don't miss your chance to chime in and look like buffoons on the very first page. Still have room for several more! Plenty of time to get on record still.
So far we're blaming the Senate, and we're blaming JFK. We have bids for the Senate in general, and we have bids for the Kennedys.
Can I get a Hillary here? Can I get an Obama? Who's gonna gimme an Obama?

Tell us, what's the conflict of interest here? Do you believe this is supposed to be a neutral, disinterested position? If so, what do you base that on?

An appointee closely related to another prominent person? Sounds like nepotism to me. Do you really think he'd've been in line for that position were he not Kelly Ann's husband? I'm sure there are plenty of people out there more qualified than he is. Merit, not "old boy and girl networks", is what modern democracies do.

The guy's not exactly some shyster traffic ticket attorney dressed like used-car salesman they yanked out of a small-town courtroom because he happens to be married to Kellyanne Conway. He's well-accomplished in his own right regardless of who he's married to. If anything he's more accomplished than she is, that's why he's getting the more prominent post than she is.

Yet somehow, that is called "draining the swamp." It was something that was very, very important to people who voted for Trumplestilskin. But now, I am not entirely certain what they meant by that...

It's been explained to you. Your lack of simple understanding and childishness has earned you the ignore button.
Bobby Kennedy was JFK's Attorney General. Conway's husband isn't related to Trump.
Bobby Kennedy being AG, was the reason they passed the regulation against nepotism in the Federal Government. But that would be a hard time for them, both going down with Trump, when this whole thing comes apart.
