I've looked for more info on this story but haven't been able to find any. It seems very *off* that they would be denied so flippantly.
So does that mean they are Citizens of India? Or all but 4 of them are. Were all their visas rejected. There is a lot of facts not presented.

So Trump ordered the embassy official (whose name I dont recall seeing) to reject these girls visa because, they aren't white? And you know this how?
it is not harder, it might take longer if you are missing docs, and that is pretty much what they mean.

You were clearly attempting to excuse the embassy staff members who chose to block their entry.
The truth is many refusals are based on racism, and Trump has empowered the racists, the bigots etc to do their worst.
Your attempt to sow doubt was pretty obvious and not exactly good. people apply for visas outside their home countries every single hour of the day. It is not only common it is expected in many cases as very often the easiest embassy to get to is not in your country...

see this is not uncommon, and it doe not excuse the embassy

It's young girls from Tibet, wanting to travel to Dallas to compete in a youth soccer tournament. The horror! They promise to go home after they're eliminated in the first round.

There's an article up on fox sports now.
15 of the team members were denied. 7 were granted visas along with the 4 members of the coaching staff (though at least one of the staff members is American). They were denied because of concerns they would defect once on US soil.

No, and I think you know it.

The USA has very strong vetting in place for those who wish to stay and live here. And we have an excellent visa system that allows many millions of visitors to come here for a whole bunch of reasons.

But instead of discussing this, you knee jerk > "we just gotta let everyone in" . Nobody here is asserting any such case. Almost every single citizen believes in border control, visas, and stopping dangerous people from coming here. The difference is most of the people on the left don't buy the myth that we are under imminent attack. They don't buy into Trump's made up fake urgency.

OBAMA, put in place the toughest vetting the world has ever seen. Obama is the "deporter in chief", he deported vast numbers of people, more than any president in modern times.

Trump made silly promises and now in order to keep them he is taking our existing tough standard to a level where it will do more harm than good. Worse than that his first ban was so bad and so foolish it was defeated every time in landed vaguely near a court.

The current system was working great, 16 years since 911 and no major attacks from non US terrorists on our soil.

A system that has worked for so long and has been improved repeatedly during that time. Yet the rightwing Trumpers want more for the sake of action, your side wants to allow innocents to be hurt just to prove your manliness. All Trump has done is alienate us from those who would be our allies, and prove to the terrorists there plan to make us fearful is working.
