Why use the FBI or NSA when you have Fox News and Judge Napolitano, obviously they gave him the answer he was looking for.
Based on what I have heard from him, Trump wants affirmation, not the truth. What is truly telling is the fact Trump finds that affirmation on Info Wars and Breitbart or from Mark Levin - sources most Republicans find unreliable, at best.
I expect the Republicans to give him enough rope to hang himself while they take advantage of the useful idiot. Then they will tell the public they have to give up supporting him, try hard as they have, and impeach him and rally behind Pence. This will have to be done about a year before the mid-term elections so they have enough time to recoup from the damage Trump is causing.

So he was hoping to draw Obama out and make him look foolish...
But being way smarter than Trump, Obama just ignored him--
Which has a double benefit--
1--he isn't involved in any argument that might create more problems for Obama
2--ignoring Trump is the BEST form of fighting back---Trump hates being ignored...
According to that, the left and mainstream media aren't too smart, are they. They could have ignored the Russian connection too. It was confirmed to be unfounded and they are STILL talking about it.
I guess that is where we differ, I am well aware the intelligence services have made mistakes but I still trust in them. This is a rather odd time where you have a sitting president that refuses to listen to his own cabinet members that he appointed, this is new territory. Even after he was elected he was critical of the intelligence agencies with their contention that the Russians hacked our election system, he called it fake news.
It's one thing for a president-elect to criticize but it's quite another issue to do the same when he took office, that is completely irrational.

They should have ignored it, right?
The Russian connections have not been shown to be unfounded. There is no evidence of collusion that we know of. There is plenty of evidence that Russians had contacts with Trump associates and Trump campaign operatives. There is plenty of evidence that the Russians were working to influence the outcome of this election.
On the other hand, there is no evidence, none, nada, to support the President's contention that Obama wiretapped Trump Tower. Indeed, it's the fact that there is no such evidence that has prompted the President to walk the accusation backwards. "Wiretapping" no longer means just "wiretapping", and if the US authorities didn't do it, it must have been some foreign government.
The press is supposed to report the news, when that news is about Russian interference with US elections, and when that news is about paranoid delusions the President is tweeting.
