I'm curious...how many people have their passport...(don't have to answer)...just incase things break down socially in America...and you must flee...
And of those who do, or plan on getting one...where would you go?
What other nation would you feel comfortable living in until things stabalized in America?
Also...does, or would your ethnic heritage effect where you went?
In other words...if An American Asian, would you feel comfortable going to Asia?
If European American, would you feel comfortable going back to Europe or Canada or Russia?
And if African American...where would you flee to if you had to leave American, and why?
Would you go to Africa? South America? Europe the middle East or Asia...?
As a African American, what country, outside of the United States, would you feel most comfortable residing in, if you had to flee America??
Or how about Native American Indians...what other country, outside of your homeland, would you feel most comfortable living in??
I'm of European heritage. I could go anywhere. However, there is only one Asian country where I could permanently immigrate, based on current laws. I could probably manage to live in most of SE Asia, but I would probably have to overstay my visa or do visa runs all the time.
Ignoring immigration laws, in order of preference:
Taiwan, Japan, Spain, Portugal, Germany, The UK, The Netherlands, Belgium, Indonesia, France, Thailand, Greece, Malaysia, Costa Rica, Mexico, South Africa, Singapore, Canada, Brazil, Ecuador, and maybe India.
Any of those would be fine. Note that they are mostly in Asia and Europe with a smattering in Africa, N/S/C America.
However, I probably wouldn't leave. Times of unrest call for level-headed leadership and can also provide opportunities to form a new and better country. I'd like to be a part of that as I have not given up on the American people. There are a lot of good, hardworking people here. Sure, there's plenty of lazy, racist, and stupid ones, but you're fooling yourself if you think that changes with geographic location.

Wow, your well versed in nationalities...
But I'm really kind of interested in where African Americans would choose to go...
Most African Americans were raised under a 'British' system...British law, British order, British language...
And so if African Americans were forced to flee America, I wonder how many would choose European nations as a destination, vs African or middle eastern nations...
In other words, when you come down to it, and get past all the rhetorical slogans, do blacks relate more to Africa or Europe?
Well obviously as an Aussie in USA, I do have a passport and I CAN go back to Oz, so that would be (and may be, the way the things are going here) my choice.
it's the only real capitalist country left. the unemployment rate is super low and income levels are very high.
