Chaffetz is a special breed of clueless. He said that people should perhaps opt against buying the latest iphone and use that money to buy health care....which would make sense if operations cost $100 and chemotherapy cost $50.

But operations can run in the HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS and lifesaving procedures like chemotherapy can run in the TENS OF THOUSANDS.

HENCE California Lt. Gov Gavin Newsom's tweet:

So perhaps Chaffetz should tell the truth and suggest to non-rich citizens that they should consider being homeless or not eating in order to afford health care because that's really the only alternative he and the GOP is offering.

The probably should have been included in the other similar thread but I will note here what I did there. This came from someone that has the taxpayers paying for both his health care and cell phone. (Chaffetz)

Someone needs to put their boot up his ass.

Chaffetz is a special breed of idiot. He acted all high and mighty when he went after Clinton. Now that the spotlight is on him and his attempt to protect Trump from any kind of investigation, he's turning into a truly smarmy jerk.

The iphone comment is only the beginning. Without the 'enemy' of Obama, Clinton, et. al., to deflect to and direct their animus toward, it is becoming clear just how inept a lot of these guys are. Now they are trying to prop up Trump and they are looking rather limp.

Obama apologists: he said the same thing and worse about cable AND iPhone. Did you start a thread on it?

It's not just Chaffetz or even Republicans. There seems to be a complete ignorance of just how out of reach good health insurance is to those who do not have it provided as part of their employment. Even with all the subsidies in ACA, there is simply not enough in most regular people's budget to pay for it much less the deductibles and copays. Trumpcare makes it even less affordable for most. It's over. The time for "Medicare for everyone" is upon us.

The point being missed is, perhaps the poorer among us should prioritize their spending. A simple TracFone is around $7 a month for example. Food for thought.

Yes. Some here have a low threshold of comprehension when it comes to content.

Many could cut back on nearly everything outside of necessities and still not afford a policy. You are making $9.00 an hour. $360 a week. After taxes you are left with enough to pay your policy. How do you eat? Get to work?
