Does not compute. Savage is no light way and he knows his rights. But nobody got arrested. Does not compute. Being a fellow member of the 70s age group we have pretty good protection when the cops show up. But nobody got arrested.
My presumption would be there is more to the story than has been told. You do not knock down one in their mid 70s with impunity. And Savage would be more of an issue than normal.

then you are either so extremely cynical that you dont trust anyone, or you have no idea about my beliefs when it comes to the way i treat people. i am inclined to believe both scenarios in your case.
like it or not i dont think anyone should be assaulted over their political beliefs, be it michael savage, or president obama, or president trump. whether you believe that or not is up to you. that isnt to say that there arent people who i think should be assaulted, but not for espousing their personal beliefs. perhaps ones day you will grow up and realize that i am right on this, and change your attitude towards your fellow man.
just because i dont like someones beliefs does not mean i dont like them as well. i have many friends i dont agree with on a variety of subjects. but i refuse to end friendships because of petty things like personal beliefs.
