Nuke NK and the fallout kills millions of SK civilians and prmpts a response from China as some of the fallout will hit China as well. Meanwhile the NK leadership is safe deep underground and they launch a devestating attack on SK. China won't have that.
All of these little undeclared, half-assed wars are a disaster. War is serious business, and in my opinion, it should be engaged in no-holds-barred as if survival depended on it, or not at all.
IMO, There is no such thing as "no-hold-barred war" that exists these days. Wake up and get out of your fantasy world.
The pre-emptive attacks on other nations to kill millions of innocent civilians including women, kids and elderly, the so called "WAR" is actually a commercial industry.
The longer it lasts, the more money a certain group of people make.
This is the actual world's hard and a bitter reality.

Easy answer...the war in those countries were not fought with a free hand by the US military..they war fought by politicians making bad decisions.
America is not a military dictatorship..................yet. All our wars are controlled by politicians.
In America, military force is just one tool in the diplomatic tool box. War is just an extreme extension of diplomacy. Our constitution dictates that elected representatives of the people will decide how, where and when to conduct a war against another nation.
"Secretary of State Rex W. Tillerson ruled out on Friday opening any negotiation with North Korea to freeze its nuclear and missile programs and said for the first time that the Trump administration might be forced to take pre-emptive action “if they elevate the threat of their weapons program” to an unacceptable level.
Given Tillerson's recent comments, would you support war with N. Korea and if so why or why not? I'm torn on this because I know that while N. Korea needs to be stopped, China will get in on the action...
I'll support war with North Korea if Trumpers are the only ones who go fight. Since they're blindly supporting his causes and ideas.
I think the uneducated confuse war with genocide. You can commit genocide and kill every person in the country. Is that what you mean? Is that winning the war? Explain. Because I am offended by people who say that my relatives who fought and died for the past wars were just "playing around". USA doesn't do genocide.
We don't just go to war with North Korea, we go to war with China. Our largest trading partner, the country we shipped all our manufacturing to, is just one missile attack away from being a blood enemy of ours. We also face the prospect of China controlling the South China Sea, with their recent island building and militarization of this area. And we couldn't invade North Korea and hope to reclaim that from the North because we would be fighting Chinese soldiers, again.
Our only hope is to take out their nuclear program and if we are not completely successful we will be seeing a nuclear strike on Alaska, the West Coast, or possibly one of our allies like S. Korea or Japan. Once again, our best bet is to convince China first that we cannot tolerate a nuclear armed N. Korea with a rogue madman at the helm. They need to know that any military action against their nuclear arsenal is not an attack on China or its influence. It is a no win situation for the U.S., and perhaps N. Korea would fall sooner if we removed our troops from the south. They can only fall from an internal coup, and they need to lose their thirst for revenge against U.S. troops stationed only a few miles from their country.
North Vietnam was twice as primitive ....they beat us BADLY! Nothing about their military was modern except maybe their anti aircraft radar and air defense artillery. But in the field, what they could deploy was nothing close to what we had. And they didn't even have air power. We still got embarrassed.
So why would this be any different?
I don't recall or believe the US military lost a singe military battle during the Vietnam war. What beat us was the inability of both the America people and the politicians in Washington to have the courage to allow the military to run the war and to win.
If the military had a free hand I believe the war would have ended after about two years with three quarters less in the lost of lives. Still not good but we did have an obligation set forth by the SEATO treaties.
