"Why should coal miners pay for PBS"? This was an actual question asked by Trump's budget director Mick Mulvaney. Obviously a blatantly stupid question.

We have questions too:
Why should a poor black family in Detroit pay for the President to go golfing?
Why should a single mother of 3 who's working 2 jobs in Louisiana be denied health-care so that the CEO of Aetna can get a tax-break?
Why is the guy washing dishes in Baton Rouge paying for the President's wife's secret service protection so she can live comfortably in NYC?

Trump and his cronies are heartless selfish bastards lining their own pockets. Let them eat cake.

I don't want to pay for war with N Korea, but it's going to happen under Trump and I'll pay for it.
Trump will need it to salvage his declining favorability ratings

Mulvaney's question actually makes sense, your's not so much.

1. How exactly does a black family or any family pay for the presidents golfing?Did they also pay for Obama's Golfing?

2.Who exactly is stopping the single mother from buying healthcare or getting a job that provides health care? and what does the CEO of Aetna's bonus have to do with it?

3.Why does the dish washer have to pay for SS protection for the Former presidents wife.
The need for SS protection for the President and his family is quite obvious, Lets cut off SS protection for the Obama's now that he is out of office, Are you OK with that? I am, along with the Clintons, Bush's, and Carter.

Obama (clinton, bush, carter) and his cronies are heartless selfish bastards who lined their own pockets. Let them eat cake.

I don't want to pay for PBS either, and I'm not a coal miner.

Do coal miners not have children? Or is it just that they don't value education? Or maybe Mulvaney thinks coal miners are all ignorant hillbilly rednecks who don't teach their children to read, and therefore have no need for educational television.

My money is on option number three. And I bet Trump believes that as well.

Why should any of us be forced to pay for PBS?

Why should I be forced to pay for any more than the most basic defense? Why am I forced to pay thousands of times as much for our over-bloated drain on society, than the programs which are being cut? Tell you what...I'll pay ten times as much towards these programs if you'll remove defense from my spending. You can pay for defense, I'll pay for these programs.

It was a stupid comment on his part. No one gets to pick and choose where their federal tax dollars go. And I don't know that the single mom or coal miner is going to see a tax reduction unless they're 1% ers.

Why should we pay for their black lung?

Because we're a freaking country trying to work together.
