He should have been fired immediately, however, rather than waiting for the story to go viral. It makes you think they would have overlooked blatant racism if it hadn't gone public.

You know, if I'm eating at a restaurant and someone says "do you belong here", I don't think I'm going to hand over my ID. I suppose these women felt intimidated.

I think I'd have asked that the server send over the manager immediately with a printed copy of the policy dictating the need for this proof.

Perhaps he was carding the ladies before letting them order alcohol? They look pretty young...

Or perhaps the ladies were trying to take advantage of a resident discount offered by the restaurant and making a huge scene of it?

Who knows. The waiter has been fired and can't speak anymore.
