I think it's more along the lines of if you disagree with the others political positions TALK or just ignore the subject, don't go and riot, burn down buildings, cars and other things. Don't go break windows and assault people who just happen to be wearing something from the candidate you disagree with. Decry the loons that perpetrate those actions described above instead of celebrating them or attempting to justify them.

Basically, BE CIVIL and you won't be seen as or described as a loon...

Who isn't civil? People who decide not to support that business, is that not being civil?

Gotta love this line

He’s a businessman so he understands how debt load works,” Allen said.

Yeah. Trump would call it filing for bankruptcy. Not exactly a solution for the national debt.

Why do conservatives always invoke the Nazis when it comes to this? It always hurts their argument because the Nazis were very racist, and these social justice warriors and their allies in high places are more akin to Maoists during the Cold War. These forced narratives and castrating anyone who doesn't agree with you is just the typical stuff you'd see in Communist countries when they were dealing with opposition.

I don't know how true the story is but in Cuba shortly after Castro took hold of the Revolution, the Communists outlawed saxophones because they were considered an imperialist tool for being invented by Belgians. That sounds like the insane rhetoric coming from the left these days.

What we're witnessing is the same level of banality except online and for now it's relatively peaceful. But of course I am guessing conservatives say Nazis because it will resonate with the public more as I am guessing they assume the public doesn't really now the history of Maoist China or of the Communist regimes as much as the constantly invoked Nazis.

Both the right and left are fond of throwing around words like "nazi" and "fascist". The right is also fond of "Marxist-Leninist", Bolshevik, communist, etc. The left's favorite attack words are "racist-sexist-homophobic", usually spoken as one word, i.e. "racistsexisthomophobic".

I remember seeing Trump signs in front of a few houses last year but I cared about it so little that I don't remember which houses had them.

I.
Don't.
Care.
