The Republicans failed to get the job done because the party is fractured. Had Republicans stuck together the bill would have passed, even if every Democrat in the House voted against it. So why couldn't Trump and Ryan unite their own party???

If you think premiums are ever going down even if ACA is repealed you are completely delusional. Insurance carriers take every opportunity to screw the middle class over. I've worked in the industry for 25 years.

All they care about are keeping their profits in the BILLIONS and paying out as little as possible with the latest scam to screw the middle class --high deductible health care plans and HSAs.

I'm getting a little sick of hearing Aetna' s Mark Bertolinis quote "Obama Care is in a death spiral"...Hmmm that's because your company makes a good chunk of its profits sucking off the government teet administering Medicare and Medicaid programs and then withdrew from Obama Care in an attempt to strong arm the Federal government into approving your merger with Humana which a judge ultimately rejected
This put millions of people's healthcare at risk and left some areas with the choice of only one health plan. Why is this not being reported more???

Sorry if you won't take ACA business you don't get the profitable Medicare business. That would be healthcare reform...Greedy insurance companies are a big part of what's wrong with healthcare, but Congress is bought and paid for by lobbyists so we are not ever going to see that changed...

How can the GOP own the ACA when the overwhelming majority of votes for keeping it came from Democrats?

The Democrats are out numbered by Republicans in both the House and Senate. There was no vote today, because the Republicans withdrew their bill to repeal Obama Care. They could not get enough REPUBLICAN votes to pass their own bill even though we have a Republican President, House and Senate??? Time to vote them all out.

Did you watch or read the news?

First rule of leadership....everything is your fault. - A Bug's Life

This was how the GOP was when Obama was under the microscope, now it's on Trump.

The reason: it sucks and no matter what the Democrats say, THEY own it until it goes away.

Anyway, on to tax cuts and building the wall.
bad day?

Well sorry to tell you, this was the one thing your party was supposed to be united on. You will get a token for the childish and pointless wall. Tax cuts will make ACA look like a picnic.

Honestly were you paying attention at all. Did you not understand this was the one big thing the "knew" they could just "do"...

They failed because the Republicans do not have a plan, they do not have any fresh ideas other than giving themselves and their donors fat tax cuts. Did you think they were trying to help you?

Yes he believes Trump was trying to help him. Trump portrayed himself as a populist. Guess what Trump is no populist.

Republicans own all three branches of government.

The Democrat vote was not relevant.

Republicans have 241 house seats and needed 215 votes.

The party is fractured.

The Republican Freedom Caucus has 29 members and are backed by Koch $. Trump agreed to eliminate Essential Services to get their support. It was not enough.

The Freedom Caucus has been emboldened by this outcome. They oppose The Wall, Protectionist Trade policies and infrastructure spending. Trump needs the Democrat House vote to get anything done because not enough within his own party support his agenda.

White House = GOP
House of Reps. = GOP
Senate = GOP

WH was won by tRUMP who PROMISED repeal on DAY ONE.

64 days later he and the House come up with a bill to repeal/replace, but don't have the votes, so they give up and go home.

The GOP owns health care now. Hope they enjoy it.
