The GOP generally opposes anything that benefits the public.

If they eliminate Medicaid all they are doing is shuffling deck chairs. Someone will still be paying for poor folks when they go to the ER for a cold because they can no longer go to a doctor's office, and that someone will still be you and me. The GOP might be easing the federal tax burden for all of us but it is partly being shifted to the state and/or the county. Your property taxes will go up, or state income tax, or sales tax. It still has to be paid. Poor people will still get sick and they will use the only recourse they have - the ER. What good is that doing anyone? I don't get it.

Typical left wing nonsense! -- The GOP is just as much in favor of good healthcare for people as the bleeding heart liberals. But, they want a responsible plan that actually works and has a viable answer to the "how will it actually be paid for" question.

$20-billion in debt suggest it is time to get some grown-ups in the White House and halls of the congress and senate. I have no problem with helping those who cannot help themselves, but the irrational age of trying to support everyone who makes no effort to help themselves, must end.
