This is how totalitarian regimes react: The person who has the duty to investigate whether officials have colluded with Russia is accused of being the traitor -- not the people trying to prevent such an investigation -- so the people of the United States can know whether their president is a Russian stooge or not.
By your logic, and I stretch the meaning, Watergate's Senator "Sam" Ervin, Jr., the Chair of the Senate Committee, was a traitor.
each day makes it more and more obvisous that Trump has forced Nunes, to destroy his own career to protect Trump for a stupid and pointless lie.
I am wondering how many more Republicans will be willing to burn up their banked goodwill, and risk losing their seats just to protect Trump . At some point they are going to figure out Trump is willing to burn down the entire Grand Old Party just to protect his ego!
How long will it take though? Imo, there is still a small percentage chance that I believe Trumpy is attempting to destroy the republican party. I remember before the election there was a poster here that had in his profile "Donald Trump is a Democrat you idiots!"...or something like that. I can't remember which poster it was. Darn.

I used to have moments when I felt sorry for spicer... then he said yet another stoopid thing and I realized he deserves a special section of he!! all to himself. Or, maybe he will have to share it with trump, and continue to speak for him... that would be a really, bigly, version of he!!.
Oh, wait... I thought you were talking about the guy who keeps going to the WH and briefing trump on the progress of the committee that is investigating him.
You should do due dilligence and look at the visitor books during the obama admin and the hundreds of visits by people in the midst of political intrigue.
Now there were stories by the ton and no journalists to investigate them....what a shame.

It is funny (in a haha, what a dolt! kind of way) that trump is now actively trying to discredit the caucus. When the tea party first got into some seats, the were just laughed at, then were given lots of powerful committee assignments, then used their block of votes to resist everything. And trump thinks he's got the power to fight them.
What is going to destroy the republican party is the serious fractures in their beliefs - the increasing distance between the extreme rights, moderates, and 'conservatives' might just become the basis for a new political party, as was discussed a lot during the lead up to the election. It is pretty clear that the polarizing issues still exist. It won't be trump, per se, who splits the party, it will be the factions who do it. I wish they would hurry up before they destroy the country.
