This is a thread about the politics of pet owners.

In my experience, almost every cat owner is a liberal who tends to support Democrats. On the other hand, the people I know who have dogs are conservative and tend to vote Republican.

Is my experience an outlier or is there something to this? Why are cat owners more liberal than dog owners?

By the way I have a rescue mutt named Walter. Best dog in the world. Growls at liberals like I do.

I have always had both dogs and cats.

Hmmm. Good question. Weird thing is that I only know one couple with a cat and a dog. They don't vote as far as I know.

My family has both cats and dogs. My cats are the a-holes which to me resembles Trump supporters. My dogs are a bit laid back which resembles "snowflakes" as you righties call them. My wife leans left and I am in the middle.

Waiting for your silly response.

One of my cats, Barney, is a great big bully. His mission in life is to terrorize every other cat in the house.

I tell my friends he is a Republican.

My filipino wife used to eat dogs. Now she loves my little terrier . I don't think her politics ever changed.

But, the status quo changes over time. At one time I had 5 cats and 4 dogs.

It has never been a deliberate choice on my part, they just happen to me. LOL

But yes, I am a liberal.
