Posturing before his meetings this week. He's got no good options here. China won't do anything that might destabilize NK as it would mean millions of refugees pouring across the border. The US won't do anything military as it would mean hundreds of thousands of dead people. Trump will have to talk this out. No fears. He is a great deal maker so there will be no problems.
Is his plan to send Jack Bauer over?
is not like South Korea, Japan, and the US have not been actively trying to kill that guy, now its for real?
We have enough anti ballistic missiles to cover the west coast many times over, but south korea is toast, they can just set off nukes on their side of the border and wipe out northern South Korea, there is a reason why that guy still in power.
What I am most worried about is Trump launching nuclear weapons against North Korea. The Kim Jung knows he will never win a war against the United States, so he will attempt to do as much damage as possible going down. Once that happens, who knows how far this could escalate. It would become World War III quite quick. North Korea is an active landmine on the world landscape. We are safe if nobody goes near it, but if somebody does it's going to make a huge mess and it doesn't matter who it is.
China's leader is meeting with Trump in a few days. He knows how to compliment Trump and Trump's ego will be very happy. China will have Trump eating out of their hand due to stroking his ego.
it is Despotic leader 101, when losing power start a war...
i think Trump will find congress unwilling to go to war with NK... after all even they are not that dumb.
