Ah, just for the show, not to destroy the WMDs. Got it.

It makes no sense to me. Those pushing wars ***** about the Muslims but Iraq, Lybia and Syria were secular. It's the Muslims moving into the voids we create.

True. It is naive to be surprised by this. I am sure Mattis isn't.

On the bright side, maybe Russian planes will no longer play chicken when they fly near our planes if we are going to start shooting

It's all bluster. Putin needed to show some force to placate Assad. Russia is the major player in Syria and had to do something. Trump and the pentagon both know this and will ignore it as non threatening, meanwhile keeping up the pressure on ridding Syria of chemical weapons as Putin had agreed to in 2013 but failed to measure up.

A) Do we know where the WMDs are?

B) If we struck the WMDs would it release poison gas into civilian neighborhoods?

Once again, your genius strikes again!

P.S. Still waiting for your outrage over Obama arming every terrorist group in Syria including ISIS, who are using US weapons to kill civilians for things like being gay.

There is no void. AFAIK Assad is still there with one less functional airbase.
