The US developed the neutron bomb in the 1970s specifically to kill people but to spare a country's buildings and infrastructure, so it could be conquered and redeveloped after the inhabitants were exterminated. I have not heard about it for many years. It would seem like a possible good solution for North Korea if it was still possible to use it. Does anyone know anything more about it

It would seem like an ideal solution for the problem that the DPRK poses.

Good solution? What do you think happens to the radiation that kills the nk folks?

Jesus waves his hands and makes it go away?

Here is a hint, it moves and slowly disperses impacting neighboring areas. Also it's not going to just kill everyone right off the bat. In fact neighboring areas may only get enough radiation to horribly and painfully allow them to live but wish they died.

Only a total idiot thinks nuclear weapons of any kind will help solve the nk problem. In fact, what that will do is escalate things dangerously.

I might be ignorant but wasn't a neutron bomb free of radiation?

That was the appeal of the neutron bomb, that it would not have lingering radiation.

I saw someone on TV talking about NK this week, not sure who it was but he made a statement that NK should check out the bomb crater the MOAB makes. It's non-nuclear but leaves a crater something like 3 times the size of the bombs dropped on Japan.

So imagine 500 B52's loaded with MOAB's. They could erase NK from the map in one day and leave no radiation.

Sounds like a good idea.

What would you propose instead? Go into the DPRK like we went into Panama and arrest Kim like we arrested Noriega?

Yeah, because all those North Koreans deserve to suffer for the actions of their Dear Leader. Right.

Find a weapon that will take him out and not harm anyone else, and you will have my most enthusiastic approval.
