I remember that vote from Rep. Lee and all the crap she took for doing it. Amazing how she stood her ground in a time when Americans had war fever and no one was in the mood to tolerate dissent. I don't know how she did it, but she deserves kudos for seeing what so many others refused to see.

Lord knows that she was correct in her assessment.

I applaud anyone who votes against these military excursions. Kudos to her.

I applaud the woman.

I was against all those wars of choice started by Bush, Obama and Hillary.

Hell no it wasn't!! In a Congress where 500 people voted for it? There must've been tremendous pressure, but she never did cave. If you read some of the letters she received (I did...many are archived at her alma mater), she must've been terrified of the potential reaction. Lotta death threats in there. You learn a lot about the typical American mentality when you read through 'em.

When this country has war fever, we get ugly REALLY fast!

She's misguided. This has no value as it pertains to non intervention. She voted against the president going after those responsible for 9/11.

Voting against the Iraq resolution does have value when discussing non intervention. She as well as others, voted against that.

Nonsense. She didn't vote against the president going after the 9/11 terrorists. There was NOTHING stopping Bush from doing that. Not one thing. He didn't need a resolution to do that. He could go after terrorists unilaterally.
