There is nothing much anyone can do except come to this forum and whine about it. Legally he is not obligated to release his tax return

Quote:
So what will happen if Trump, as expected, does not release his tax returns? Legally, nothing. Though presidents and most presidential candidates have chosen to release their tax returns for the sake of financial transparency, there is no legal obligation to do so.

In fact, the possibility of legal recourse against Trump is more likely if he does release his tax returns. In addition to revealing information like Trump's annual income and whether or not he has paid income taxes, Trump's tax returns, many speculate, could reveal financial ties to Russia or other countries. Such revelations could prove he is in violation of the Constitution's Emoluments clause, which prohibits government officials from accepting gifts or money from foreign governments.

If there was a law to release the tax returns of president and he did not release it, you and many Americans can sue him to release it. Wanting it is not the same as requiring it. I would love to see his returns but will not demand it or cry about it since it is not the law.

What do you mean he is not legit. He won the electoral college as per the rules.

And please, I beg you - do not bring up the popular vote bull****.

Well, the IRS is being sued for them.

EPIC sues IRS over Trump's tax returns - POLITICO

Does it bother you that he lied about releasing them?

Why would you "love to see his returns"? Just curious.

He's not legitimate simply because he took an oath he never had any intention of honoring.

As to seeing his returns - I am curious just to see how much more the made each year than I did . Just morbid curiosity. Nothing more. But I would be OK if I did not get that chance.

What Oath did he take that he had no intention of honoring. Don't say he promised to release the returns in an election rally or lock her hup or deport all or build the wall. Those are election promises that no politician will keep, whether they be named Bush, Clinton, Trump or Obama. I have come to expect that from both sides of the aisle.

Promises are not Oaths.

It would be like you posting your phone number and address here.
I didn't think of that but you're right.

A junk lawsuit that has no merit and will go nowhere. Do these people not understand the law. IRS cannot release the returns without the authorization of Trump.

Their pathetic excuse

the advocacy group explained that releasing Trump's tax returns may "correct misstatements of fact" and ensure the “integrity and fairness" of the tax system.

I was also thinking that liberals who preach that high income means you're rich (which is a lie) and just like they lie about that they would use it to put more lies and the people who don't understand the tax code and wouldn't know any better would believe everything the liberal media said.
