France does not.
Every cup has it's limit. Lady Liberty isn't magical.

François Fillon (mainstream conservative) 19.5%
Benoit Hamon (mainstream liberal) 6.2%

Philippe Poutou (far-left) 1.2%
François Asselineau (nationalist) 0.8%
Nathalie Arthaud (far-left) 0.7%
Jacques Ceminade (centrist) 0.2%

Both the traditional, mainstream political parties in France, the Les Républicains and the Parti Socialiste, were eliminated in the first round.
This is an upheaval; both of these parties have held significant power since the end of World War II.
I think La Pen might actually win. With the two running La Pen will grab Fillons votes, and it will put them over the top.

This is what happens when you jerk around the voters and appease criminal elements.

Le Pen heading to next round, the people have spoken!

Le Pen came in 2nd today and will not win the run-off. Go to today's %'s and give all the left or centrists to what Macron got today and he's over 50% in the run-off.

The French voter is not as stupid or gullible as the tRUMP supporters were.

France 24 is saying that the polls predictions appeared to nail the results this time.
If polls continue to be accurate, then Macron will win easily in the second round. Maybe Putin has something left up his sleeve though.

Amen.
People are waking up to the disasters of globalism and Islamic terrorism, and are tired of being told by their politicians that it's raining, when in reality they are being peed on.

Notice, I'm not saying there is no risk - just that it is VERY low risk, and the attention payed to it is overblown.

These politicians largely know this...but fear is a powerful thing, especially fear of something that is hard to understand/relate to. And these politicians are exploiting that fear to their benefit.
Sure it is. 19 idiots with box cutters brought down the world trade center and could have killed 50,000 people had they attacked in the middle of the work day or hit the towers at a different angle.

The only reason we aren't like the middle east is because the # of muslims living here is relatively low.
And that's they way it needs to remain.

France does not.
The left may define us as that......for their own purposes.
We'll take some immigrants but they can be vetted first for health, criminal background, propensity for terrorism, etc. If those look good, welcome. If not, stay out.

Le Pen is still a socialist in terms of her economic policies, so I'm finding it odd that some of you hardcore Trumpies are all right with her. Oh wait, no I'm not...you guys supported a crony capitalist to lead your party.
