American Airlines opened an investigation after a video surfaced on social media late Friday night, showing an intense confrontation between passengers and a flight crew member on board one of its planes.
The video, uploaded by Facebook user Surain Adyanthaya, shows a woman holding a baby and seen crying in front of the plane, preparing to fly from San Francisco to Dallas-Forth Worth, WFAA-TV reported.
There's a special place in heaven for most flight attendants who spend their careers dealing with a whacked out general public in tight spaces with strict policies.
American Airlines required strollers to be checked before boarding. The checked stroller will typically be waiting for the passenger upon disembarkation.
Either this passenger was unaware or chose to disregard this policy. The airline took the stroller away from the passenger. That part was not filmed. Did the passenger resist? Did the flight attendent and the passenger get into it? Did the flight attendent intentionally or unintentionally bump or hit the passenger with the stroller when taking posession?
Children under 2 are unticketed passengers when traveling on a parent's lap. Parents oftentimes expect their young children to be accommodated in a vacant seat without paying for it. No clue if these children were ticketed or what the mother expected.
It's impossible to arrive at any conclusions based on the video.
Flying with young children is stressful for everyone, the children, the parent, other passengers and the crew.

Worst case scenario: The woman ignored the policy. The few words that I heard her say indicate a possible language barrier.
The reaction of the tall male passenger indicates that he witnessed an assault on this woman, her child or both.
The male flight attendant may have reacted out of fear of the taller passenger. Fear sometimes results in what may be interpreted as aggressive behavior in self defense.
It all comes down to how roughly that the male flight attendant treated the female passenger. That wasn't caught on camera.
Yep. You wouldn't be surprised if such an experiment was done, now would you?
