I think the new owners are realizing just how much fox has added to the insanity. It's all fun and games til things get out of hand. Making money from the rubes is great until they believe the lies too much and start electing the incompetent.
All these phony charlatans on right-wing media, are just playing a role, to appeal to the mouth-breathers who feed on their hyperbole. They could shift their diatribes at any time, to fit what was wanted by their employers, to anything on the whole spectrum of social and political viewpoints. But of course, the listeners and viewers have come to expect the brand of hate and disinformation they dispense, so they have to be fired, if something else is to be presented on air.
Will these disenfranchised "commentators" just disappear or will they emerge in other versions of themselves on different media outlets? What sad existences most will likely have, like old, broken-down whores, who can no longer draw any customers.
