I don't want to get bogged down in this topic, but it is obvious some have an agenda to push. I'm not interested in engaging with people who approach this subject based on anecdotes and feelings, not facts, and don't acknowledge the double standard for threads like this one.
^^^ The fact that you will continue to beat your drum on this issue just shows that you will not be swayed....So there's really no point in arguing anymore LOL.

Regardless of how old the boy was in the picture used by the news, he's still dead.
And the officer still lied about what happened. Thank goodness body cams were invented, the video proves that the cop lied about what happened. Otherwise he would've gotten away with murder.
I'm not sure why you linked that article or even made this post. Is it to somehow make the point that there isn't actually a problem with fatal shootings of black men? If so, you are missing the critical detail that highlights the crux of the issue for black people in general and Black Lives Matter in particular: in the majority of the fatal police shootings of black men, the vast majority of these men are UNARMED! That is not the case when white men are shot.
Incorrect, the vast majority are armed. In 2016, 21% of black males killed by police were unarmed. In 2015, it was 25% so there has been some improvement. For both 2016 & 2015, 18% of white males killed by police were unarmed.
This is like a horror show and of course it's Texas.
"But it wasn't just Edward's brother, Balch Springs Police officers also wanted to hold Edwards's father when he arrived at the station asking about his sons, Merritt said. "Balch Springs PD called the Dallas County Sheriff's office and asked if they could restrain Jordan's father because of his "hostile" behavior," he said."

The vast majority are armed. That is indisputable. To take it one step further though, why don't we define "unarmed"? In some data sets they intentionally mislead by listing someone as "unarmed" if they try to run down the cops with a speeding car. Some are "unarmed" while trying to steal the cop's gun. Some of the "unarmed" are in a car, when someone else in the car is shooting at the police & the police return fire. Now what % would a reasonable person actually consider "unarmed"?
