Ironically, the original recipe for American government was a two-tiered system.
1) The sovereign people with Creator endowed rights, and
2) the subject citizens, who, like the Founders, were expected to pledge their lives, their fortunes and sacred honor in service to the government and the people. They had mandatory civic duties that would otherwise abrogate endowed rights if consent had not been given beforehand.
The liberal country would look a lot like Canada. It would be democratic-socialist and isolationist. The new Confederate States would be like Afghanistan, only with the Baptist church in charge instead of radical Islam. Watch the show "A Handmaid's Tale" to see what every day life in Oklahoma or Alabama would look like following the breakup of the United States.
Half right. The liberal part might even end up as part of Canada.
The right wing part would do well in some parts at first but increasing plutocracy would eventually kill it.
The conservative faction would become a Christian theocracy almost immediately. The liberal faction would eventually become an Islamic theocracy by allowing unrestricted immigration from Islamic countries.

Doubtful. The blue country would be run by agnostics and atheists as it should be. Religion is personal and has no place in politics. Pretty much all lefties agree on that.
The red states would be happy at first until they realized that the likes of the Koch brothers had turned their religion and fealty into pseudo slavery and returned them to the times of " the company store" and robber barons.
It would be okay for the blue states and Canada, because we'd get cheap goods and we'd get China prices for them without the shipping costs because the red country would have done away with unions, EPA laws, osha, minimum wage, and other impediments to making the US competitive with China and other third world manufacturers.

The blue country would be run by agnostics and atheists at first, but would eventually be run by Muslim theocrats within a few decades. The secular liberals would unwittingly let in large numbers of Islamic immigrants under the banner of "diversity," and seculars would eventually find themselves outnumbered by theocrats. Devout Muslims don't believe in the separation of religion and government.

The liberal one would be invaded and wiped out.
Not by a foreign military, the idiots would invite their own doom with open borders, they would soon be under Sharia.
Ahh well, I can dream.
CA is already on that track, so it is actually realistic.

A true possibility. The liberal side would quickly resemble a 3rd world nation.

Now, this idea I like. That would serve the best interests of everyone and maybe we would finally not be at the polls choosing "the lesser of the evils" a sort of between "heaven and hell" approach also.
