That's the Republican way, or at least it has been since about 2000 or a bit earlier. Claim that government doesn't work by sabotaging all efforts to allow it to work, get elected based on that claim, and then prove how utterly incompetent government can actually be.

The reason nothing is improving is because the far-right has no plan other hating "those people," sticking it to the poor, and waving around their guns and bibles hoping magic patriot dust will fall from them and "make America great again." They wouldn't know a good government policy if it were hand-delivered to them, complete with 2 scoops of ice-cream, because baby Trump needs one more than everyone else.

You think that might have something to do with the jobless rate hitting a 28-year low?

From CNN Money: “OPEC has asked a favor of other major producers: Please stop pumping so much [damn oil] and help us balance the market.” They’re primarily asking us, the United States. OPEC — which, during Democrat administrations, has owned us. But now we are producing oil. We may be the largest reserve market in the world now with the discovery of shale and the ability to frack and get it out of the ground. Let’s talk about being energy independent. You know, politicians for 35 years have been promising energy independence. Now it is happening under the Trump administration, and OPEC says, “Please don’t pump so much oil! We’re dying over here!”

And he’s still pursuing his agenda, such as OPEC begging us to stop producing oil and unemployment numbers at a 28-year low. Angela Merkel! “Germany intends to increase its defense spending in coming years to meet NATO’s target of 2% of GDP, Angela Merkel announced yesterday.

Why are all these people reacting like Trump’s gonna president for a while and don’t want to end up on his bad side, hmm? Can you say 2800 more days??

Where are all the mass shootings... where's BLM....Cop killings? nope... down substantially.

Is this post Serious or a Joke? I mean Fracking is destroying the underground of the great plains the ground wáter is becoming Poison and the next new business will be bottled wáter for US citizens who will be unable to drink from their own wáter wells.

You exactly right. Fox news is a large part of the problem. They slowly brainwash people with fear and hate, both of which are easy sells. it is not hard to scare a 55 old man into thinking someone stole his job and his chance to be rich. They came up with the phrase "fair and balanced" exactly because they intended not to be. It is a matter of historical record that anyone can look up...

Fox has done far more than they had every hoped, they have shifted millions to the right of their natural positions, they have taught people to conflate social issues with economic and national ones thus confusing them into voting to increase and maintain the disparities of wealth under the guise of combating some vague social issue or another. With abortion mostly resolved they had to make up a "border" issue that would scare the brainwashed, and it worked.
So know we have what amounts to Partnership between a commercial foreign owned TV station and the POTUS. The irony of a FOREIGNER coming to the states getting a passport solely to own a news tv station is completely lost on the Fox fans...

It really is a shame to see what they have done to this once great nation. The GOP has virtaully bankrupt us with two never ending wars, they have wasted the lives of our youth and the treasure of a nation. they almost bankrupt the USA with their rightwing economic collapse of 2008...

Now they pretend somehow Trump will save them. Yet all he has done to date is begin to make the coastal elites richer than we ever were before. If Trump's healthcare plan goes through i save 3% on my taxes, if his tax bill goes through it is game over and the coastal elites will have all the money..

yet still they cheer, even as the top 5% buy up every last home in the nation and turn the bottom 60% into a renter class, living to make ends meet.

As for fewer border crossings, there could be countless reasons for that, including:
- Fewer demand for the jobs that illegals would normally take.
- Fear of being shot to death by crazy Trump voters who hate brown people.

Since all Trump has done is bluster, make threats, and act like a buffoon, claiming that he's improving anything is simply laughable.
Obama put the welcome mat out for illegals.

A better idea: let's capitalize on the brains of our engineers and other scientists to develop technologies that we can sell to all other nations that need energy. No fracking at all, anywhere. We're making Swiss cheese out of our land and sinkholes are appearing increasingly.

The only one's causing trouble for anyone these days, on a regular basis, is the Communist Antifa gangs.... and they are getting smaller and smaller, as they get their asses kicked, for even showing up to disrupt.

I guess you haven't been paying attention to the secret meetings of the past few days when American journalists were banned when Trumpie met with these folks?
