Yes the kid was being a brat but that doesn't excuse a teacher losing her temper and control over the situation.

Substitute teacher rips hijab off 8-year-old Bronx student

Quote:
Police sources said Safa Alzockary, 8, was misbehaving in class at Public School 76 on May 2 when substitute teacher Oghenetega Edah, 31, told her to remove her hijab, a traditional covering for the head and neck worn by some Muslim women.

student should not be allowed to wear them in school anyway. They can be concealing weapons or contraband.

The same as ripping the Crucifix from a Catholic girl's neck or knocking the yarmulke from a Jewish kid's head...inexcusable.

The substitute teacher was named Oghenetega Edah, ?? That sounds like a name of a person that should be more tolerent to others and their beliefs.

No doubt Oghenetega will blame Trump for her bad actions.

Are the other kids allowed to wear hats, scarves, etc., in school? If not, then no special treatment for anyone, especially in a PUBLIC school. Separation of church and state, remember?

It is actually far worse. It is more like tearing the skirt off a Catholic girl or making a Jewish student completely disrobe and parade around class naked. The teacher should be facing criminal charges in addition to being fired.

WTF is going on in my country?
