Why should it be disclosed from the public (and the source of the information by extension)? Hmm, how about because we obviously rely on such information. Now that the source knows that it was shared without their permission, we're less likely to get more information, which only hurts the national security interests of the USA. But, to the left, such an outcome is apparently acceptable as long as a leak threatens to hurt President Trump in the process
Don't make this about the "left". Trump was the one who said Clinton was (with no proof) and would be reckless with classified information. He said would enforce all laws regarding secrecy and NO ONE was above law.
"Following the meeting, the White House contacted the CIA and National Security Agency to contain the damage, according to the Post.
Two U.S. officials confirmed the surprise disclosure to BuzzFeed News, which said the Senate Intelligence Committee was briefed following Trump's discussion with the Russians.
"It's far worse than what has already been reported," one source told BuzzFeed."
“The president and the foreign minister reviewed common threats from terrorist organizations to include threats to aviation,” said H.R. McMaster, the national security adviser, who participated in the meeting. “At no time were any intelligence sources or methods discussed, and no military operations were disclosed that were not already known publicly.”

As president, Trump has broad authority to declassify government secrets, making it unlikely that his disclosures broke the law.
So, story turns out to be a dud, but a dud with serious potential consequences based on the hysterical media and leftist (often one in the same) narrative being pushed.
Funny that the Leftists get all worked up about this unverified story from an "unnamed source" but have no problem with Hillary's mishandling of classified information on an unsecured server, which undoubtedly put our nation at risk, and may have been the cause of the 4 Americans that died in Benghazi! And who knows what other harm was caused by her carlessness?

Wapo accusing the WH of playing "word games" and they're standing by the story. It's no surprise that the WH is denying it. They've denied everything. What else are they going to do?
I see that went way over your head. But that's what Trump hatred will do . . . make you completely disregard our national security interests as long as a leak threatens to harm the president.
*chuckles* Oh no..I get exactly what you are doing..and I see you making adjustments to your posts as talking points are brought up.
The facts are simple..Trump opened his yap..and said things he shouldn't have..and you wish to somehow blame your political opposition for his incompetence. Good luck with that

I had concerns about that.
Too bad Trump is President, though, and not Clinton.
McMasters just said no sources and methods were revealed. But the WaPo said Trump revealed classified information, not sources and methods.
Exactly, it's not even a denial of the story.
