When the article tells us~"Until his surprise appointment Wednesday, Mueller served as a partner at WilmerHale, a firm that represents former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort, Trump’s daughter Ivanka and Jared Kushner, the president’s son-in-law. New special counsel Robert Mueller has history of standing up to the White House
Yet we're supposed to believe this dude is not a smoke-screen? I didn't fall off the damn turnip truck yesterday!

What does it matter...Do you want The Clintons to choose a special counsel or Obama?
Better yet, why don't we just let the Clintons and the Obamas investigate this themselves and render a decision. Because nothing less will shut these leftist maniacs up.

Yeah, sure. That would be great, except that none of them are in the government now. Duhhhh. So, the SP that was selected by the republicans, to investigate a republican has ties to a legal firm that has ivanka and manafort as clients. Soooooo... if the investigation results in finding of wrongdoing, will the result be considered to be tainted by that tie? Conversely, if the investigation doesn't result in finding of wrongoing, will the result be considered to be tainted by that tie? Win-win, either way, somebody is going to hate the outcome.

I guess it should come as no surprise seeing someone on the right describing a desire to learn the truth about Trump and his administration as maniacal.
WilmerHale is a large firm, with 1000+ lawyers. Probably they've represented personal interests for many prominent Dems and Reps.
I have no problem with Mueller's appointment.
