I'm so glad pseudo "Madam President" did NOT win. Otherwise.... I would have likely regurgitated on her hideous magazine cover if had I see it hit the newsstands. .....which, thankfully, it never did..... because she LOST!
I am not sure who was happier on November 9th,... when I woke up and realized Trump was FINALLY our President! Me or the entire U.S.! (I actually knew at 1:00 a.m. thanks to everyone here and NOT CNN...)... but slept like a rock.... knowing the Wicked Witch of Arkansas did NOT win.
Tell us about this poll when you are able to get him impeached and then the terrorist attack your area? Be careful what you wish for because it may happen and you can see how wrong you were about the situation.
Okay, let me play devil's advocate. If I WERE a Trumpite, I'd try to respond something like this:
"Those polls are misleading. Newsweek is comparing two different polls from two different sources - one about general support for Donald Trump is from Gallop, the other, about support for impeachment, from another source. Did you non-Trump supporters take that into account? I am surprised that Newsweek did this, actually, as they are usually more painstaking and this is a rather obvious move on their part. Unless the same people were asked those two questions at the same time by the same poll-takers, this is a false comparison".
And if I were a Trump supporter, I would not lower myself to name-call. No "witch", no "snowflakes", no "Killary", no Dumbocrats, no Odumbo. This sort of thing is just divisive and rude and ugly, and has no place in civilized debate. It does not compare to the opposition's glee in using "Trumpers", "Trumpites", or even "tRump". or "covfefe" (which even Trump admitted was funny). "Melanoma", I'll grant you, is very rude and uncalled for.
So, fellow Americans (and probably citizens of other lands): can't we be a bit more high-toned around here? Nothing good comes from personal invective and deliberate insults. We share a lot of concerns. Few of us want war, want hunger, want poverty, want an end to our Constitutionally guaranteed liberties, want terrorism, etc. We disagree on the best person to lead us. But let's try to focus on the greater goals, shall we? We are free to state our views and ideas - thankfully, I hope that never changes. Let's just do it in a more seemly fashion.
Yes, if Trump is impeached I can definitely see the home-grown right-wing Trump terrorists trying to cause havoc and destroy my neighborhood.
But that's ok. We need to do what's right for the country. If that means we have to put down right-wing terrorists, so be it.
