We don't own the moral high ground. How many foreign elections has the US tampered with? How many Governments have we interfered with?
Iran
Cuba (failed attempt)
El Salvadore
Libya
Syria
Iraq
Afghanistan
Vietnam (failed attempt)
Just to name a few.
Remember, democracy = oppression of the out voted minority.
Ironically, the vocal losers of the recent election are incensed at their defeat, and its consequences.
. . .
Of course, all that democratic abuse is by consent of the governed.
Once consent is given, shut up, sit down, pay and obey.
. . .
If you are unaware of how and when you consented, please contact your local "public servants" and ask for an explanation.
I did not consent, at least not when I was not under government duress. Who would consent to be a slave to another, unless threatened by government goons? Sure people "consent" when they have to "consent" to exercise their natural rights that they would have absent of government. It is ironic, that people must subjugate their liberty for mere "privileges" isn't it? Seems like a very poor exchange
Now that we have evidence that they attempted to actually change our ballots, can we conclude that Russia is a direct threat to American democracy? This goes beyond trying to influence an election.

The Obama admin hacked every single major political party involved in the recent French elections.
When was the last time we felt we could walk into a room with a Russian leader and feel like we're talking to an old friend? Even when we were allies in war, we knew better then to trust them. I cannot remember once in my entire life when any American thought Russia WASN'T our enemy.
Until Trump came along.
And suddenly formerly loyal Americans jumped on board with him and sung the praises of Mother Russia.
Ignorance may be bliss but it should never lead to betraying your country.

If that's what makes a country and enemy nation, the USA is the enemy of lots of nations. We've been influencing elections for decades.

A lot more than that list. It's a quite common (and not noteworthy) event.
