This plays right into Steve Bannon's master plan. And since he is Trump's puppet master, you can expect more of it. Funny thing is Anthem was worried about getting paid, now that Trump is in the White House.

The Trump administration has done it's best to create instability in the market, removed the penalties, removed advertising and delayed a decision on the court case regarding ACA subsidies. No company can operate with regulations and funding that change monthly, how do they plan rates for 2018.
Trump has refused to make a decision on the court case for ACA subsidies, there was word that they would continue to pay for 90 days. He is purposely creating instability to close down insurers.

You don't appear to be aware that the "subsidies" i.e. Insurance Bailouts were never funded. Obama paid them, but it wasn't legal to pay them. The US House sued the Obama Administration and HHS because Congress never passed funding for these bailouts. The Court agreed with the House that they were illegal and it went up to a higher Court that also agreed they were illegal. TeamObama appealed and the Court allowed the Obama Administration to continue the Bailouts until the case was settled.
Trump has exactly the same option that Obama did - continue the appeal and continue the illegal bailouts or drop the case and cease the illegal bailouts - allow the US Congress to appropriate the money if they choose.
That is where we stand now ..... BUT, the Democrats refuse to cooperate and actually pass anything at all.
A Reality check for the Left -- get the Democrats moving or more and more people will lose coverage on the ACA Law that ONLY Democrats wrote and crammed down with ZERO Republican votes.

Instead they have done nothing but delay a final decision on a court case that they won 6 months ago. The republicans have no replacement for the ACA but they want it to fail and doing their best to help it along. The democrats aren't the issue, republicans can't even agree within their own party, and don't even tell me that pile of manure that was passed by the house is the answer.

You do understand that Democrats did not include any of these 'subsidy bailouts' in the CR for Fiscal year 2017 and chose to go for payments to Planned Parenthood instead. Any funding for Fiscal year 2018 would come in the Budget ..... which they have no intention of even voting on.
This Obstruction thing that the Leftist Democrats are doing sounds good in theory to their clueless base, BUT as long as it continues, then real people are going to get hurt.
Most of what has been discussed here only underscores the fact of insurance as a failing notion insofar as comprehensive universal health care goes. Some very necessary utility is lacking in the private insurance scenario simply because the profit motive siphons off a ton of money that would otherwise be utilized within a non profit system. Yeah, the detractors would have us believe that such a system would only reward the gov, and it's workers--but ask yourself where those notions come from, if you guessed the insurance industry-- give yourself a pat on the back

Its was happening before the election. Atena and Humana pulled out of my state, BCBS in some areas and BCBS had gotten approved for 60+ % rate increases. This was all do to losing money. Again this was before the election.

The Republicans promised to replace the ACA. If they allow the ACA to fail after failing to follow up on that promise they will own the fallout. And it ain't going to be pretty. And it's going to hit their own constituents first and hardest. Maybe Trump can tell them all about his wonderful plan that will cover everyone and be inexpensive, but no, they don't get to have it because...well, because he's a bald-faced liar, just like the party he leads.
Good times ahead for the GOP...
