Finally Comey AFTER GETTING FIRED, removed the cloud to say Trump was not personally being investigated!! Comey, you should have said this sooner. You would probably still be the FBI director.
Of course CNN Crazies News Network is having a conniption fit over this because President Trump was truthful saying Comey told Trump , YOU ARE NOT UNDER INVESTIGATION!!
I don't remember anyone really accusing Trump of being personally under investigation regarding Russia, but of course, Trump being his paranoid narcissistic self, he assumed it was about him.
It was always about the campaign, Manafort, Flynn, Stone, Page, Kushner, the Trump kids. Donny sure seemed paranoid and obsessed with it though. And now, forcing his attorney to declare Trump 'vindicated' before the testimony and based on the preview statement. Sort of like declaring someone innocent of a crime he wasn't on trial for before the verdict is reached and claiming victory. Just can't make this stuff up.
Uh--hey Donny--what about the rest of it? Nobody has cleared you of obstruction, abuse of power or self-dealing.

And remember Comey is a professional at a very high level, the man been doing this for a very long time. Trump can't outsmart this man. There is a strategy to why Comey revealed so much the day before the hearings, but none of us here is smart enough to figure that one out. I'm sure we don't think like an FBI, and have no idea why he came out with so much info. We don't understand it, and some of us think we have it all figured out, but what Comey did today will have an impact on the hearing.
Funny that he is only worried about "his" position of not being investigated. Apparently he really doesn't care if his campaign/campaign staff is under investigation because that is composed of other people---- not him.

CNN was of course telling the American people that Trump committed collision with Russia. Then when Trump said Comey told Trump he was not under investigation, CNN went with the story Trump was a liar..Comey is adding to this fake narrative.

It is not the role of the FBI to say someone is NOT under investigation, however they do inform people who have become a person of interest or target.
Kushner is a person of interest and makes Trump jealous because he considers himself to deserve to be the most interesting.

Because if 3 months later, the evidence began to lead to a different answer about DT and Russsia---
should Comey then go in public and say that DT is now under investigation(based on new infor) or
if asked later on by the press etc.(and he was newly under investigation) Comey would have to answer "no comment" as you don't want to impede an investigation.
It is best for DT that Comey did not go out and tell the public. Think of the effect his statement had on 10/28, similar scenario.
