Talk about snowflakes. SMH.

To those that legitimately in need of assistance I have no problems with this. To the people that are taking advantage of the system... yeah, call me a snowflake or not but I do have a problem with it , as anyone with common sense would.

For instance, on the news yesterday morning the woman and her daughter were on. I forgot exactly why the little girl needed medical treatment, but they were basically pleading her case on the news and had a go fund me account set up. Now they were doing this all while leaning on the front grille of their 2016 or 17 Cadillac Escalade. Last time I looked one of those up, they started at around $75k. So , can't afford insurance but you roll in a $75k car ...sorry. You get nothing from me.

You are comparing introductory rates used as loss leader to static rates.

My Prime was $59 last year. This year they wanted $99. They took it without authorization from a bank account I had used to purchase stuff. I called and threatened to sue and they put the money back. I will never buy from those crooks again.

Had the same thing happen. Wife asked me where this charge came from, I didn't order it. I bet the person on the phone couldn't reverse the charge fast enough.

Hate to call you out BUT

You got a promotional deal last year and what you DIDN'T do is read the fine print that says they would automatically renew. It's always been there, always be there and the fact you didn't read the fine print is on you.

And they gave it back to you -- nothing 'crook' about that.

Not just Amazon jumping on board......FreshDirect....etc....

http://fortune.com/2017/01/06/amazon-food-stamps/

Being able to use digital food stamps could be an important step for elderly or disabled SNAP participants who may have trouble leaving their homes to go grocery shopping. Plus, as Fortune's Michael Addady first wrote back in September, it could also help bring healthier food options to people living in "food deserts" without easy access to fresh ingredients.

Are they going to allow them to use their EBT card to buy stuff too?

Exactly. It's like when you get a six month promotional deal with your cable company and in month seven it jumps to the regular rate. It's common business practice, especially when a company is trying to lure in new customers.

It's like some people were born yesterday.

Some people will find a way to hate the elderly or disabled for 1. being so, 2. having SNAP, 3, wanting fresh foods, and 4. not being able to leave home easily in order to shop or living in a food desert.
