I will say this: Donald JOHN Trump said that he would 'defeat' ISIS within 30 days of assuming office, and he has delivered.

Or am I insane?

The left can st*u.
The left??? Got news for you; the Republicans have complete control so there should be no reason why he can't get EVERYTHING done. So why hasn't he?

Unless Trump dies he will be part of the political landscape regardless of whether he can hang on to the presidency. He'll be an embarrassment to the GOP and a wonderful gift for the Democrats.

If he resigns he can sit in Trump Tower and play the victim card for his snowflake followers. He is incapable of being out of the spotlight so he will keep it up ad nauseam. If he is declared incompetent mentally or physically and removed under the 25th amendment he'll be something of a living martyr for his devoted minions with much breast beating, tearing of hair, and competing doctors' opinions. Anger would certainly be focused on Pence and the GOP who would orchestrate such a move. If, by some miracle, the congress comes together in a bipartisan effort to impeach and convict him he'll be disgraced and removed. Much of the air will come out of his balloon but his cult groupies will still kiss his behind. A gag order or prison term might shut him up...we should be so lucky.

This is all based on him keeping some semblance of mental acuity and speaking on a coherent, relevant, and connected basis with a clear thought process. Just in the past few weeks we have heard even conservative voices saying he is mentally defective and incapable of remaining as president. The 2018 election could be a game changer for impeachment. The GOP will have to decide how much damage they can sustain and how long they would want Pence to be president going into 2020 elections.

Maybe
Maybe not.

Your post stood out to me, because you disagreed so nicely: )

I think disagreement is good in a healthy way.

Could be wrong here.

But I think Comey thought he was a lifer at his job in the FBI.

Then the Clintons came along with their corruption and threw him into an awkward position in the public spotlight.

Then comes along Mr. Trump, a non politician.
A whole new ball game.

Comey was thrown off of his game.
And he wants to save face.

I think Comey, Clinton, and Trump all threw shannanigans around.

Out of the three, I would convict the Clintons

This whole distraction is the best thing that could happen to Trump. He's able to use it as an excuse for not doing anything resembling work.
Clinton still worked while his ordeal and actual impeachment was happening.
Whatever the outcome, the current situation isn't ending tomorrow.

Once before Trump acted like Trump he was not under investigation.

"But there’s no question that he is now. He is plainly under investigation for obstruction of justice."

What Comey
