Emotional support dogs are probably okay with a person with autism or other disability like epilepsy where they are proven to be able to sense their owners impending seizure. But many, many people abuse the law and are nothing but slobs with a sense of entitlement. Like with handicapped parking, using scooters while shopping, etc. There are those who need a special accommodation and those who just want it.
Screaming babies don't bother me. Just use headphones to block it out and all the other blathering idiots that talk non-stop. Cats and pigs should definitely be outlawed. Cat crap is the worst and would have me barfing all over. Although I sat across from a guy that farted all the way from LAS to TPA. That was bad.
Yet you didn't let him get up to go to the bathroom?? How in-humane of you. Farting is a normal human function.
Why is it always women trying to game the system too...these crazy dog women, so annoying. I already have a no kids rule when it comes to women, the next one is no dogs.
It seems like it's either women or couples. I think most men would feel it's humiliating to state they need a support anything.
Even when men have a limb hanging out of its socket they'll often say they're fine rather than admit they may have to seek medical attention.
What do you think about emotional support animals being allowed on airplanes?
Personally, I think its a bunch of bull crap to allow such a thing. Riding on an airplane is already stressful and cramped. Allowing people to bring their untrained animals to sit next to other passengers is just wrong.
Doesn't everybody have pets that support them emotionally? I mean, you don't have an animal because it causes you grief...you have them because they make you feel good.
The whole emotional support dog thing is a crock of zhit, if you can't leave your dog at home to go to the store for a few hours, then you have more than emotional problems and a dog is not gonna help. The big problem with this is, that those who consider themselves normal, have to suffer the consequence of these peoples so called needs, and if people are going to do this, then the dogs need to go through some kind training or obedience school to learn how to behave around crowds of people not bite them.
All these emotional support dogs are simply an extension of the generation of people who purchased (toy) dog breeds to carry around town in their hand bags.

The dog that bit the passenger is said by the owner to be a lab/pointer. The dog's owner is a veteran. However, people that saw the dog are saying it looks like a pit bull. Here's an image of the dog. Looks like a pit bull to me too.

the dog’s owner, Ronald Kevin Mundy Jr. of Mills River, N.C., as a military service member with the U.S. Marine Corps who “advised that the dog was issued to him for support.” The dog is listed in the police report as a “chocolate lab pointer mix.”
